THIS is HOW you CARVE PumPkins!!!

What started out to be a nice Monday night "Family Home Evening" of carving pumpkins, turned into more like something like of "Shop Class 101".

Those of you who know Lane I'm sure are not surprised that even in carving pumpkins there MUST be large Power tools involved in everything possible!

I on the other hand, just wanted to make PERFECTLY round VERY CUTE poka-dots!

My CUTE Family!!! A little scary with the power tools making there way into the activities, but that how my guys are made! Gotta LOVE em!!!!

Casey so did not want to participate in the evening activities but I really didn't give him that option. As soon as he had the idea to carve his motto-cross numbers on his pumpkin he was the first one carving!

And Savannah she is always up for the FUN!!! She loves when we all get together and do stuff. It can be anything, games, walks or just hanging out.

THE WHOLE FAMILY!!!!

I've Been Tagged! " 7 Random/Quirky Things! "

1. This is probably my biggest and quirkiest thing. I iron EVERYTHING. Jeans, sweats, t-shirts and yes even my pajamas. I go no where over night without an iron. I'll bring my own if necessary. And I'm picky about my iron. Must have awesome steamer!! I even bought my sister in Utah a new iron cause I stay at her house a lot and I didn't love hers so much! My family members must also have ironed clothes. Yes I do theirs also.



2. Well this one is a bit odd also. I hate dirty laundry in laundry baskets. I always have a load of wash going. I'll go around the house looking for things to wash to make a full load. The dish washer kinda goes along with this one to. I'm picky about how it is loaded. I'm known to go back after Lane does dishes and re-arrange. I CAN FIT SO MUCH MORE IN WHEN LOADED CORRECTLY! I've yet to teach Savannah this art. SOON!



3. I LOVE to workout! I feel so much better when I do. I also love finding new recipes that are healthy and taste good. I know, I should be skinner but I love to eat bad stuff too! :)



4. I LOVE to talk about my husband and how great he is and how much I LOVE him and that no one could love each other as much as we do! Kinda sappy but it's TRUE!



5. I know I am and you all are reading this thinking I am. Obsessive/Compulsive But I think it is in a good way that only drives me a little "bonkers". Like when I give a lesson or throw a party, I go A LOT over board. Handouts, treat bags and object lessons are a must and they must always be VERY CUTE!



6. I started to get a little desperate thinking of last 2 so I asked Savannah and she said, " when her friends and cousins are over I play with them like I'm one of them. She said your not like a mom your like a best friend!" Oh, I LOVE HER!



7. I'm leaving the last one up to Lane, He said said and he would know that I'm a big WORRIER!!! He has said on several occasions that he thought he was a big worrier until he met me. I do worry and I try not to because when I do I get this very painful, nothing I can to make it better ,rash on my hands. Yuck! I hope to grow out of this one day. He also said that I'm obsessed with ironing. :)

Ban LOVES her dogs Sadee and Suzie. Lane has said several times when she is out playing with them, " she talks to them like they know what she is saying."

She is her mothers daughter when it comes to soccer! Loves it! Plays my same position and everything! GO DEFENSE!!! I love to watch her play. Her coach is the girls high school coach. She is so great! They play on co-ed teams and her coach always tells me " I love it when she steals it from the boys!"

These are " The Cedar City Girls " all my cute nieces! We girls, all those 8 and above got to Cedar City in August to the Shakespearean Festival. It is a tradition in my family for like 40 years of something. Very fun mother daughter time. These girls are not only cousins but BEST friends!

I have to explain this picture a bit. We went camping with my family all weekend. No one got hurt, seriously until we get back. The night we got back Ban decides to open a Popsicle with a knife and we end up in the emergency room for stitches. That was not fun. I understand from friends that it is a common occurrence with boys. Glad I had a girl!!! Don't want to do that again!

Savannah has really gotten in this blogging stuff. Thanks Mel for the inspiration and the little push. ( like setting up my whole page and fixing all my mess ups when I txt you frantic cause " I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED MY CUTE BACKGROUND!!! HELP! " Any way she really wanted me to do my next blog on her. I didn't do it the other day and she said "mom when are you going to do me?"

OUR BLendED FaMILY!!!

1. Father and son..... These 2 are so much alike it is a little scary. Neither want to admit it but ... truth hurts. They are a blessing to each other. ...... I love them both and am thankful for them both!

2.Casey and I have a pretty clsoe relationship. I think cause I can tell him how it is ( with a little sugar coating ) He is fun to have around and I miss him when he is not around. He is the son I always wanted and now have!!!

3. Savannah!!! WOW!!! How has my little girl changed since moving to WY!!!! She loves it here and has fit right in. Wither it's riding the 4 wheeler every where or taking care of 2 dogs 1 cat and 2 horses. Not to mention all the friends! She is Busy!!!

4. Casey, Savannah and Grandma Marie! We all love getting together but it is so fun to watch Casey and Savannah interact with each other. It's like they have been brother and sister from the beginning. He LOVES to tease. And she loves to pretend she hates it, until she teases him right back! I couldn't wish or ask for a better BIG BROTHER! THANK YOU!!!!

5. Than there is our CUTE, DARLING Cortni!!!! She LOVES to give hugs, loves her dad and brother!!! Not quite sure about the new puppy in this picture. Cortni suffers from a syndrome in which she has constant seizures. Even on heavy does of medications she still seizes on a regular basis. She has had condition since she was very small.
In August of last year we were very blessed to have her moved up on a waiting list for a group home in Afton! It is managed and run by Lincoln Self Reliance. And state funded program. I can't say enough great thing about program and employees!!!! THEY ARE THE GREATEST!!!!!!!! She has made so much progress! She is doing things no one in the family ever thought she would!!! Yeah Cortni!!!
I am especially thankful for her I think because she gives me the opportunity to serve and through that service I fall so deeply in love with this special daughter! She also gives Savannah, not just an opportunity but a life long blessing of having a sister with special needs, thus being able to share a special LOVE!
